Wheee!
Omigod.
Only eight days to get ready -
to read the 44! pages of advance readings!
to pack for four people for ten days in the smallest possible suitcases!
to find a fishsitter!
I'm so excited!
and by the way, the video keeps causing my Firefox to crash. Just FYI.
Get a real browser lady.
Sorry, I'm a Firefoxer myself and I had no problems. Like many video services, Jumpcut encodes the movie in Flash in an attempt to minimize problems of video file compatibility. Your problem is probably somewhere in between Firefox and Flash. You can see the original photos on the "fgcgathering06 Technorati page":http://technorati.com/tag/fgcgathering06 (see "last week's post":http://www.nonviolence.org/martink/sharing_our_quaker_event_photos.php for instructions on tagging your blog posts and photos).
Martin is always cutting edge with the technology. I think he's going to start video-casting any day now (let's skip right over the podcasting). Have a lovely time at FGC, ya' all.
Hi Joe: don't think it hasn't occurred to me. I haven't followed through on any threats to start an interview podcast because of a combination of technical problems and the ever-present problem of finding a work-free, crying-child-free time I could schedule with others. Short videos are quick and easy to make and I like the potential for spontaneity. We'll see. No promises.
