I think often about the Civil Rights Movement. Seems to me they were confrontational, they got in people’s faces, but I don’t see them as uncivil. I see uncivil, for instance, as a public official calling for journalists to be “curb-stomped,” among other comments. We don’t have to sink to that level. We can hit hard and be effective without doing that.
