Quakers have been asking some very hard questions about their testimony to peace and their forms of pacifism following the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. They are hard because there are no simple right answers.

Thanks you so very much for bringing my attention to this document! It is simply fabulous! What an abundance of wisdom it contains, no doubt based on the Quakers’ tradition of deep individual and community reflection on these important issues and their living their indiviudal and community lives in accordance with the light of God in them. I more recently became a (non-Quaker) pacifist. Our local peace group studied Peter Brock’s “The Quaker Peace Testimony, 1660 to 1914.” Whatever questions I have or issues that come up, I can see that the Quakers have already been there, thought them through in depth, and provided sober and wise responses. What a great example and light they have been and continue to be! Thanks again.
